We are able to provide professional services to our clients across the United States and Mexico. The key members of the firm have provided a wide range of services from feasibility studies through design and construction. Dr. Peter Fleming, P.E., the President of GTI, and his staff have completed several thousand geotechnical and environmental studies in Arizona, as well as New Mexico, California, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Washington, and Mexico.

All our work is done in general accordance with ASTM specifications and local regulations. These services are available to our clients throughout the entire phase of a project.

Services include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)

  • Phase II Site Characterization Studies

  • Phase III Remediation Solutions

GTI’s Registered and certified professionals have completed several thousand Phase I ESA’s throughout the United States. It is our primary objective to provide high quality Phase I ESA’s, as specified by the ASTM document E 1527-05, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: “Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process” approved November 16, 2005, that are site specific with assessments that include, but are not limited to the following researches:
  • Visual site assessment of the subject site during site reconnaissance.
  • Documentation of site reconnaissance with color photographs included in the Phase I ESA report.
  • Interviews with persons knowledgeable about the subject site including owners, managers, operators, as well as federal, state and local governmental officials familiar with the subject site.
  • Review available public governmental environmental databases.
  • Review of historical aerial photographs.
  • Review of historical property information available in public files including county assessor information and property title.
  • Review of groundwater data at the subject site.
  • Review of geological information about the subject site.
  • Preparation of report summarizing our findings and recommendations.
Should the Phase I ESA indicate the potential for possible soil and/or groundwater contamination, GTI can provide a Phase II Site Characterization Study that includes soil test boring and/or test pits, laboratory testing, etc. All work is conducted in general accordance with EPA protocol. Based on the results of the subsurface exploration, and chemical laboratory testing, GTI can determine the type of contamination and utilizing various types of modeling algorithms can determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination.

GTI’s staff of highly skilled engineers, geologists and scientists have performed several hundred Phase II Site Characterization Studies throughout the United States. The Phase II Site Characterization Studies determine horizontal and vertical extent of contamination. Additionally, GTI has designed and implemented unique and innovative, cost effective techniques for conducting Phase II Site Characterization Studies. GTI’s services include, but are not limited to:
  • Development of Site Safety Plans
  • Soil Boring
  • Soil and/or Water Sampling
  • Soil Gas Surveys
  • Modeling of Contaminated Plumes
  • Geophysical Explorations
  • Chemical Testing
  • Risk Assessments
  • Organic Pesticide Soil Screening
  • Petroleum Product Testing
  • Installation and supervision of Groundwater Monitoring Wells
GTI can provide mobile laboratory testing services in addition to full service chemical laboratory testing. GTI utilizes an Arizona Department of Health Services accredited laboratory for conducting all chemical analysis.

GTI’s staff of highly skilled engineers, geologists and scientists have designed and implemented remediation systems at numerous sites throughout the United States. GTI’s registered and certified professionals use their knowledge and experience of specifications for appropriate technologies in accordance with environmental regulations and client requirements for site clean-up and restoration.
